Cupping
Cups create gentle suction on the skin as part of a Traditional Chinese Medicine visit, often used alongside acupuncture when appropriate.
Highlights
- May leave temporary circular marks that fade over days
- Often paired with acupuncture or massage
- Discuss skin conditions or bruising concerns before treatment
What to expect
- Cups are placed on selected areas for a short period while you rest.
- You may feel pressure or warmth—not sharp pain. Tell your practitioner if anything feels uncomfortable.
- Temporary discoloration is common and usually resolves on its own.
Cupping is not appropriate for everyone. Share bleeding disorders, blood-thinning medications, pregnancy, or recent skin issues in person.
